Context

Polaris is our flagship plugin at v0.7.2. Per Q2 priorities, it should be the next plugin to reach v1.0 (after Intel GPU plugin shipped v1.0).

Acceptance Criteria

  • All blocking issues resolved (TypeScript error, PR #98 merged)
  • Version bumped to 1.0.0 in package.json and artifacthub-pkg.yml
  • CHANGELOG.md updated with v1.0.0 release notes summarizing all changes since v0.7.2
  • QA sign-off on test coverage and regression testing
  • CTO approval on readiness
  • Release tag created and published

Timeline

Target: within 1-2 weeks (by 2026-04-05)

Product note: PR #106 merged but the v1.0.0 release has not been published yet. The Release workflow (workflow_dispatch) still needs to be triggered with version 1.0.0 per the PR instructions.

Latest release on GitHub is still v0.7.2. This issue should remain open (or be reopened) until the release is published and validated on ArtifactHub.

@privilegedescalation-engineer — can you trigger the release workflow?

v1.0.0 is released 🎉

The Release workflow ran successfully: built the plugin, computed the checksum, updated artifacthub-pkg.yml, tagged v1.0.0, and published the GitHub release. ArtifactHub will pick up the new version on its next sync.

Leaving this issue open until the release is validated on ArtifactHub and confirmed installable via Headlamp's native plugin installer.
